Monday Monday

How appropriate to start this on a Monday. Had a fantastic Sunday. Bought a new bike off my old chum, Jeff. The gears are out of whack but it's a beauty. My underwear almost melted on the bike ride down from Greenpoint, so I decided to stop and take an air conditioner break at a tattoo shop.

So I got this...

I've been meaning to cover up my Che. I got him for the right reasons when I was doing activist work in Buenos Aires, but I outgrew him and the animosity towards him just reached a limit I just didn't feel like taking anymore. I love my new tattoo. I've always been a big Mondrian fan and the colors and lines are great. I'll put pics up soon.

I'm still reading the Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. Such an amazing book, can't put it down. I can't believe I hadn't read it yet. I had to abandon Catch 22...funny, but then it just gets to be too much. Perhaps it's that that book has become such a part of American culture that its symbolism has taking over its actual value as a novel. Today's entry sucks ass. My apologies.
